History of the place

Nestled in the heart of the old fishermen’s quarter, at 6 Place Charles Félix, Les Mimosas du Cours is more than just a restaurant. It’s a tribute to local history, a place where the maritime soul of a former fishing cabin blends with refined cuisine.

We wanted to preserve the authentic spirit of this memory-filled place while giving it new life. Under the direction of Lucillia Chenel and in collaboration with Studio Lelaz, we created a space where every detail tells a story. From wooden paneling inspired by Riva boats to carefully sourced items from the antique market at Cours Saleya, each element evokes the rich, vibrant past of this unique setting.

The ambiance, inspired by the 1950s, is reflected in our elegant interior, featuring marble floors and tablecloth-covered tables that echo traditional French brasseries. Outside, relaxed seating invites guests to unwind, capturing the spirit of the 1960s—perfect for enjoying a moment on the terrace.

“In the 1960s, this iconic venue, known as ‘La Camargue,’ attracted celebrities such as Alain Delon and Paul Newman. Today, we aim to revive this creative heritage by offering an inspiring space where conviviality and gastronomy come together.

Come and discover Les Mimosas du Cours: a place where each meal is a celebration of our history, rooted in tradition while embracing the future.”
